도서소개
특수교육공학은 장애를 가진 학생들에게 적절한 교수방법 및 관련 공학 서비스를 제공하여 특수교육의 질적 효율성을 높이기 위한 체계적이고 종합적인 서비스이다. 이러한 의미에서도 알 수 있듯이, 특수교육공학의 개념은 컴퓨터를 활용한 수업이라는 협의적 개념에서 벗어나 광의의 개념으로 바라보아야 한다.
따라서, 교육활동에 필요한 모든 인적, 물적 요소를 교육목적에 맞추어 합리적으로 계획하고 집행하기 위한 체계적인 학문인 교육공학과는 달리, 특수교육공학은 교육공학의 개념과 더불어, 보조공학, 교수공학, 의료공학, 정보통신공학 등의 개념까지 포함하고 있다
이에 본서는 총 8부로 나누어 제1부에서는 특수교육공학의 기초, 제2부에서는 특수교육의 컴퓨터 활용교육, 제3부에서는 특수교육의 ICT활용교육, 제4부에서는 사이버교육과 웹접근성, 제5부에서는 보조공학과 특수교육지원센터, 제6부에서는 보편적 설계, 제7부에서는 특수교육과 스마트교육을 소개하였다. 먼저 제1부에서는 교육공학의 개념, 역사, 특수교육공학의 특징 등 특수교육공학에 필요한 가장 기본적인 개념을 다루었다. 제2부에서는 교수매체, 컴퓨터 활용교육, 특수교육 멀티미디어 설계 및 개발 등 특수교육의 컴퓨터 활용교육을 소개하였다. 또한, 제3부에서는 ICT활용교육의 개념, 유형, 특수교육의 ICT활용교육의 특징 등 특수교육에서의 ICT활용교육 방법을 구체적으로 소개하였다. 제4부에서는 사이버교육의 개념, 웹접근성, 특수교육의 사이버교육 특징 등 특수교육에서의 사이버교육을 소개하였다. 제5부에서는 보조공학, 특수교육지원센터 등 특수교육에 필요한 교육공학적 지원 체제를 소개하였다. 제6부에서는 교수 설계, 보편적 설계 등 누구든지 공평한 교육을 받아야 한다는 universal design learning을 소개하였고 끝으로 제7부에서는 특수교육에서의 스마트교육 개념, 특징 등 다양한 사례를 소개하였다.
본서는 사범대학이나 교육대학 등에서 특수교육공학을 학습하는 학부 및 석박사 학생들뿐만 아니라, 교육 현장이나 각종 교육 기관 등에서 교육연구를 수행하는 많은 분들에게 도움을 줄 것으로 기대한다. 끝으로 본서 출판에 도움을 주신 교육과학사 출판사 관계자 여러분께 감사의 마음을 전한다.
