도서소개
이 책은 저자들이 수년간 대학생과 일반 성인들을 강의장에서 만나면서 전하고 느끼고 공유했던 내용을 정리한 것이다. 자기계발을 계획하고 실천 가능하게 하는 주체는 뇌이다. 그간 삶을 통하여 습관화 된 것들도 뇌의 활동이라 한다면, 결국 자신의 뇌를 이용하여 뇌를 변화시켜야 하므로 무척 까다롭고 성가신 활동이 된다. 그래서 이 책에서는 뇌가 생존하기 위해 동작하는 원리를 제시함으로써 스스로 변화를 선택해 나가는 리더로의 성장을 돕고자 하였다.
다윈이 말했듯이 끝까지 살아남는 종은 가장 강력한 종이 아니라 변화에 적응하는 종이 아닌가? 변화는 곧 성장이며 창의적인 활동이다.
이 책을 활용하여 대학생의 리더십 수업을 하거나 일반 성인들의 리더십 워크숍을 진행할 수 있다. 지식과 활동을 적절하게 배치하였기 때문에 지식을 읽음과 동시에 활동을 하면서 자신과 깊은 대화를 할 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 많은 내용을 담아 다양한 교육장에서 교육목표에 맞추어 선택할 수 있도록 하였다.
