    도서소개

    인공지능기술이 사회적으로 광범위하게 영향을 미치고 있다. 이와 같은 영향을 받는 영역으로 언어교육 분야도 예외가 아니다. 언어교육 분야는 여기에 더하여 사람의 언어를 처리할 수 있는 인공지능기술의 비약적인 발전으로 언어를 배우고 가르치는 방식에서도 영향을 크게 받고 있다. 이에 본서에서는 인공지능기술을 전체적으로 살펴보고, 기계번역과 챗봇과 같은 구체적인 인공지능기술에 대한 이해와 활용을 모색해 보고, 인공지능기술을 기반 기술로 하여 새롭게 부각되고 있는 메타버스 환경에서 언어교육이 어떻게 이루어질 수 있을지 살펴보고자 한다. 또한 본서에서는 인공지능기술의 기반 기술로 자연어이해와 자연어생성과 관련한 자연어처리 기술과 음성인식과 음성합성과 관련한 음성처리 기술에 대한 기본적인 사항들을 언어교육적 관점에서 다뤄보고자 하였다. 이와 같은 논의를 바탕으로 본서의 마지막 부분에서는 인공지능기술을 언어교육 교육과정에 적용할 경우에 고려해야 할 사항을 교육의 여러 측면에서 살펴보고 있다.
