미래의 농업(교과교육학)은 자연본위의, 학습자를 위한, 농업교과 내용의 본질을 논의하는, 성장과 개발에 도움을 주는 농업교과교육학이어야 합니다. 이러한 맥락에서 이 책을 집필하면서 가장 인간적이고 가장 효율적으로 학습자를 개발하고, 학습자를 이해하고 또한 농업교사를 양성하는 국가대계인 교육에 미흡하나마 일조하고자 하였습니다. 이 책은 현직 농업교사로서 또는 임용고시준비 등에 모두 필수내용으로 출제되고 있어서 이 교재를 완성했다는 의미에서 그리고 농업교과교육론의 효시로서 매우 의미가 있다고 볼 수 있어서 기쁩니다. 이 책이 다른 교과교육론과 크게 다른 점은 실제 교사 및 학습자 중심의 교육 그리고 교과교육의 체계화된 수업계획과 농업교과교육 내용을 담고 있다는 점입니다.
